There are two ways to import eBook and document files (in EPUB or PDF formats) into the Aldiko Book Reader:
(1) Put the eBook and document files in the SD card/internal storage of your device (where to put will depend on the file structure of your device), open Aldiko Book Reader, tap on the navigation drawer indicator at the top left corner and then tap on “Files”. Locate the file and check the box next to the file that you want to import, then tap on the “Import” (the downward arrow in a box); Or
(2) Create a folder (say "import") in your SD card/internal storage of your device, put all the files that you want to import in that folder. Open Aldiko Book Reader, tap on the navigation drawer indicator at the top left corner and then tap on “Files”. Locate the folder and check the box next to the folder and then tap on “Import” (the downward arrow in a box).
At your first time of importing files, you will be asked if you would like to delete the original files after import or not. You can always configure this by going to the "About section of the app. Just tap on the navigation icon at the top left of your bookshelf, select"About" section of the app, check or uncheck the box next to "Delete original book files after import.
Please note that if you are importing Adobe DRM protected EPUB and PDF files, you need to authorize your device with an Adobe ID before doing import.
To register an Adobe ID, please go to Aldiko Book Reader, tap on “Info” at the navigation drawer. After that, select “Adobe DRM” and then click the “Register” button. Fill up the information required. Alternatively, you can also register an Adobe ID on Adobe website here:https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/
